The Night flees far As the Day dawns bright Revealing the scar That dwells still The Sun rises slowly Chasing shadows from the ground But those that dwell inside In shadow leave me drowned Birds greet the day A sad melody In a lovely mockery Naming my feelings a comedy Dawn fades to noon As time slowly flows Flowers bloom Crushed in woes Heat beats down Oppressive, Suffocating In its sorrows I drown My shadow fading The Sun sets The last light struggling At my fate Mocking, Cackling Shadow blankets the land Taking sorrow by the hand Leading onward to the night From the coming day I take flight |

You've penned a weighty piece, DF...very weighty, indeed. If this is of depression...you know the subject well. Perhaps by observance; perhaps by subjective means. It touched me. Be well, and write some more in Open. |

Samson, I can relate. It's hard somtimes, but good to write about it though. |
