I sit here looking at you from beneath my lashes, wondering are you thinking the same as me
You smile that grin I've become so familiar with, and it sets my heart free
You ask me "what are you thinking"? but no words do I have to tell you
I just know that I've never felt a love quite so true

From the moment that our lives touched, I felt a connection deep inside
Though I am scared sometimes to let go, my love for you I will not hide
Glances exchanged between us say more than any words could ever say
I need you to know its ONLY you who makes me feel this way

If my heart had wings, it would surely take to the sky
It's so easy to love you is what I'm thinking...as you respond with why?
Maybe its the deep friendship we shared that then turned into sweet love
Or perhaps its the love that binds our friendship that was created from above

Last night I watched as you lay sleeping, your beauty took my breath way
I did not dare move though, in your arms is where I want to stay
I reached out to softly touch your hair, as my feelings of love just allowed me to float
I wanted to wake you up and tell you I love you, but my words just caught in my throat

Sometime between night and morning, I fell sound asleep in your arms
Never have I felt safer, protected from all harm
When I awoke with sunlight in my eyes, I felt as though I'd been blessed with an Angels kiss
That's when I realised love just doesn't get any deeper than this
