Seesaw seesaw, Marjory Daw finch-bobbers fill their craw entertaining me neath the frigid sun amazing joy comes from their fun swinging feeder tick-tocks the morning spring is on the horizon thank-you, birdies, for coming by you are a sight for my eye ©January 9, 2003 I've added to the above poem, here is the extended version below: Seesaw seesaw, Marjory Daw finch-bobbers fill their craw entertaining me neath the frigid sun amazing joy comes from their fun swinging feeder tick-tocks the morning spring is on the horizon thank-you, birdies, for coming by you are a sight for each eye then I peak below my knee tick-tock tail tells reverie enamored, sure, are kitty’s eyes her tick-tock tail adds to my sighs. ©January 9, 2003 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, I'll seek the lighthouse evermore. LOL at those finch-bobbers. A couple of years ago (?) I wrote one called Feeder Fighters...it was about the chickadees at the winter seed bowl in Alaska. I love to watch these little gifts! |
