Seesaw

seesaw, Marjory Daw
finch-bobbers
fill their craw

entertaining me
neath the frigid sun
amazing joy
comes from their fun

swinging feeder
tick-tocks the morning
spring is on the horizon

thank-you, birdies,
for coming by
you are a sight
for my eye

I've added to the above poem, here is the extended version below:

Seesaw

seesaw, Marjory Daw
finch-bobbers
fill their craw

entertaining me
neath the frigid sun
amazing joy
comes from their fun

swinging feeder
tick-tocks the morning
spring is on the horizon

thank-you, birdies,
for coming by
you are a sight
for each eye

then I peak
below my knee
tick-tock tail
tells reverie

enamored, sure,
are kitty’s eyes
her tick-tock tail
adds to my sighs.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

I see the birdies and enjoy the sight.
Beautiful.

What a jolly poem -- I love this kind of frolic!

Yes, complete the joy of nature in frolic.
I am ready for the spring too. ThisDiamond

LOL at those finch-bobbers. A couple of years ago (?) I wrote one called Feeder Fighters...it was about the chickadees at the winter seed bowl in Alaska.

I love to watch these little gifts!
