Butterflies and Golden Skies

I flitter flutter most the day
A hayride in my mind I’d say
Nothing-serious nothing deep
My rocking chairs a ride to sleep.

But sound will ring an awesome bell
Especially my Isabel
Seymour is the toll of round
It goes beyond a wakeful sound.

It stings my mind a lash of rage
Where is he now that so called sage?
He’s always sleeping all the time
Probably thinking up some rhyme.

I know not why he sleeps so much
So sensitive my call and touch.
He seems to go so far away
I fear he’ll not come back some day.

He seems to dream of butterflies
Just butterflies and golden skies

A hayride in my mind I'd say

=================================

and that will be way cool, Sy-guy line for the day...I do so love the way your mind works.
~~~
Dream your dreams of butterflies ...
of amber skies lit with linen cloud sighs.
Dream of azure oceans of endless blue ...
of the tides that pull us to all thats true.
Dream of Eden's verdant garden's gate ...
flights to Shangri-La, Randy wont be late.
Paint your days with rhyme scheme dreams ...
your nights with star shines and moon lit beams.
Dream for all you wish for your world to be ...
when the dreamin's done ... dream a little dream of me.
I do that quite a bit myself, Sy. Maybe it's a poetic predisposition?
Beautiful poem, as always!
(smiles) And one of those butterflies is you, swarming across this sea of poetry to fulfill our hearts with the nectar of life, the marrow of being! (sigh) We just love your youthful spirit, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Unfortunately, I don't know the characters referenced in this poem.  However, because I have an active imagination, I am easily drawn to it's charm.  I enjoyed this immensely!
