The sound of music that once rang in my ears and kept time with my heart drowning sweet sorrows that brought me to tears. Oh the moon on my river doesn't shine like before a tired song out of tune that no longer endures. A many splendored thing slipped into a jacket a worn out recording wrapped in cold vinyl lining. The rhythm and blues I so willingly danced to until the tables had turned and the lights had gone out. Like a record that's scratched or a CD that's cracked when the tape is unwound there's no playing it back. How soon we forget the refrains that wane turned down in the back ground into the silence they fade. |

Lori...some things are gone, the music just a memory, but there is always a new song on the charts, with just the right sound for a new start. I hope this is true for this sadness of you. |

Blues - Now this is truly written with memories that won't fade over time. Hopefully the happy times out weigh the opposite. Chris "Hope" is the thing with feathers- |

Lori, you write the most beautiful, but sad love poems. They really touch my heart. Maybe it's because I've felt these feelings in my life, in the past. I hope that one day you will find the love that you deserve. You're a very sweet and special person.... BTW, I love the new picture. "Love makes the world go around" |

(big huggsssssssss) Oh Lori, this is so very sad, sweet friend, I wish these refrains will start a crescendo again and only get more harmonious as the volume grows! (sigh) This is heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lori, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! This is very poingent. And very beautiful. Once a sound is made...it never ends, it only grows more and more subtle, just waiting for the right heart to hear. Love, Eric |

"The sound of music that once rang in my ears, and kept time with my heart drowning sweet sorrows that brought me to tears." How beautiful. How can such a lovely lady with such a sweet smile write such sad poetry? I do hope it is fictional and not from the heart. I wish you the best because anyone who writes with such sensitivity has to be a nice person. Barb |

Thanks for all your nice comments everyone. This was a work in progress that I started long ago. There comes a time to turn the page, and so it goes. Not sad, not to worry~ Warm hugs all around~ [This message has been edited by BluesSerenade (02-09-2003 12:06 AM).] |

So striking against such a beautiful background...somehow I think, that once these classics commit to our souls, they are immortal...even as the vinyl might fade, and scratch or unwind in a new melody. Nice write. ThisDiamond |

BluesSerenade, I don't think the haunting refrains ever really leave, they just hang around waiting to become elevator music. lol. A beautiful poem to match the beautiful music. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Expressed perfectly....I think all of our rivers share the same moon at times. Particularly when the waters have flowed many a day... Like the new pic too.... |

Loved this playback. I could hear that tune in the background, the sadness of it surrounded my reverie. But wow, what a great picture! It brought me right back to how beautiful a Carpe diem attitude can be. |

Dixie~ I don't know that we ever forget, but somewhere along the way we lose the meaning. Thank you~ Craig~ You make me smile, mooning eh? watch out now! Thank you for reading TD~ I almost used the word 'classics" they are as old as time, tired and true But I'm sick of em already! hehehe.... Kethry!!!!!!!!! Waiting to become elevator music, oh that's good~~ Can you imagine if you wrote a song and heard it on you're way up? I guess that would bring you down real fast! Better to fade I say. Thank you for making me laugh... Barry~ Yes, we all share the same moon, but does it's reflection give off the same light? I suppose it depends on the cloud cover. It's so nice to see your name here. Thank you kind sir~ Kacy~ Living in the moment is a lot easier than trying to make sense of the past. Kay Sera is my all time favorite. Thanks for your great reply. |

Hey BC~ I didn't see you there... The refelction is very pretty when the moon shines bright, I guess that's what I miss most of all. How does that song go? Oh dream maker you heart breaker where ever you're going I'm going your way... [This message has been edited by BluesSerenade (02-09-2003 04:52 PM).] |

you portrayed the sadness and the beauty all at once with an open heart what happened to the platinum bombshell blonde in the last picture? this is a little more golden, but nice , i usually tone down a bit for the winter too, but summer, look out, |

Lori, beautiful writing as always from your pen and heart. this is a remarkable piece, showing the depths of your heart. The "rhythm and blues I so willingly danced to until the tables had turned and the lights had gone out. Like a record that's scratched or a CD that's cracked when the tape is unwound there's no playing it back." i know this feeling very well. there are just some things that we can go back to. stunning write, i enjoyed it very much! take care. amy "love is like a butterfly-- |
