When I picture my life and everything good in it, I see the beauty of your face I'm moved time and time again by the essence of your grace Love has entered my heart a time or two before I've wrote poems about how that love made my heart soar But never have I met someone, who gets to me quite like you do All I'm left with to say are the words I Love You When I feel your arms around me, and I'm looking into your eyes It's as though our souls are joined together in heavenly skies You are my angel, I feel it everytime you hold my hand Without any words between us, you just seem to understand I know that you are scared, and I do feel the same way Something though tells me that love is here to stay There's just this sweet innocence about you that matches my own soul It leaves me feeling like I'm breathing for the first time, for once completely whole I'm not sure about tomorrow or what the future holds in store for you and me I just know that with your love in my life, I finally feel free Though these are just words, they represent the very heart and soul of our love A love that I know was created by our Father above "love is like a butterfly-- if you chase it, it will surely fly away,instead hold it close and watch it grow into something beautiful" ~me~ [This message has been edited by Aimster (02-08-2003 05:27 PM).] |

I hate love poems. I really do because normally they're done very badly (including me, I can't write love poems at all). I read this though because the first stanza seemed pretty good to me.. and then I read more.. and more.. and before I knew it I read the whole thing. You did this so, so well and it sounded very realistic and sincere. I like how you mentioned fear because that is such a strong force in love (sometimes it gets the best of us). - Jaime a man of quality is not threatened by a woman of equality |
