As I write my heart to you I know you understand What I attempt to say Though not written in best of hand I know not the forms of poetry or all the fine technique Although my finished poems are sometimes quite unique My rhyme may not be perfect Nor written with a fancy word but, my Love, you know are as true as ever heard So please look over, my Love if I stumble over a word or two For they all come from my heart and are written expecially for you  [This message has been edited by garysgirl (02-08-2003 09:43 PM).] |

Oh Ethel, I just love this, I do admit sometimes when I write I tend to be wordy and everything, that is why I wrote these Candy Heart Poems, because love should always sound simple and beautiful to speak of and I made them like that so children and people of all ages can share them with one another! (kiss on cheek) Your heart shines with so much love, sweet friend, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing! A lovely valentine Ethel...I would sign in as the other two of me, and respond, but it's not necessary. I am not sure you know that I am also Lady O and Alicethruglass. Yeah, Noah, I sometimes feel very inferior on this forum with all the excellent writers who know all the different forms and techniques of poetry writing. I know that I'm not a "poet", but I do write from my heart. I guess that counts for something. Anyway, my Love knows that everything I write comes from my heart, so he encourages me all the time. Garysgirl, I was sitting beside a stranger on a plane one day and came to realize she had written poetry. I gave her one of my poems as I remarked,"I'm not a very good writer, but I'd like you to have this anyway" I'll never forget her response. She said, that if your words touch somebody in some way, it is a good poem. And I truly believe that you have touched many hearts by opening yours and writing your honest sentiments which many can relate to. A poem that's sincere comes in all forms which are equally powerful. The reponse to your poetry speaks for itself. Keep writing the way you do. It's wonderful Liz |
