Tell Me The Truth There are words you say When they are not true Break a heart and a soul Like………..I LOVE YOU I’d rather hear the silence and the way I rain at night than to know it’s all so empty and tomorrow has no sight what is the point of promise just a phrase you say to break strips the skin from the bones a bare heart is what you take you alone carry the key to unlock a wingless dream don’t tell me words I want to hear say the words you really mean I’d rather hurt today in truth finding your tomorrows were all a lie strings connected heart to heart should not have to question why I think you feel no guilt in this pain that I feel being part of the biggest lie and never knowing what is real I now drown in all my flaws crashing in the sea's salty touch grasping at my love’s not near enough but in truth… could it be too much "It is like looking for a blizzard in a glass snowball. Unless you shake it up not one flake will fly." [This message has been edited by 1slick_lady (02-08-2003 06:54 AM).] |

ohh I felt this, outstanding and painful write. But might I add, its not worth it to hurt for someone who won't hurt for you. Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |

Helen, it's a terible thing to not be told the truth. Even if the truth may hurt for a while, it's better to hear. Even though this is very sad, it is a beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing... |

Helen, this is such a touching and painful write. You wrote it beautifully. I can relate to how you feel, very much. But hun, please don't keep drowning in your faults. Because, believe me, he does have some faults of his own. And, no, they never seem to feel guilty for what they put us through. Sneding hugs your way. |

(The truth is not too much to ask, is it?) What a beautiful poem! There is power in your simple honesty. |
