My Heart
~ By Sue ~

His heart he would not open
To allow me to enter
The love I held for him
He never would accept
Seems he always pushed it away
It was hard for me to understand
I could not have loved anyone better
Than I had loved him
I had never known anyone
Who did not want to be loved
To open up my heart again
I do not think I can ever do
My heart I had given to him
How do I take it back
When my heart belonged to him
I just wish I could understand
Now I feel so dead inside
Like I have no feelings at all

Sue I do know and understand these feelings, and I am convinced that the answer comes with time.  Hugs to you.

Think of your heart as napping, it just needs time to recover and find it's beat again.

And it will!  Soon, I hope!

Sue, this makes me hurt for you. It's so sad.
But, you wrote the poem beautifully.
I like the font, too.

oh boy do i know this pain.  Loving someone and not having it returned is a pain I do not wish on anyone.  I wish there was something I could do to take away your pain dear but unfortunately....we aren't able to do that for one another.  I know the saying that time heals all wounds......I think that may have been said by someone that hasn't actually experienced this kind of pain before.  I don't know what to say other than I am sorry for your pain....and I wish you the best.  I do however believe that when you find Love.....real love.....it is definitely worth the wait.

Thank you all for your replies. Some days are good, and some are not. This is one of those days when it isn't very good.
