Red-stemmed willows Bent green on the bank Drooping fingers to touch the rivers hem As if in idle pass of day they wished To tug on something other than The soil and stone held in fists of gnarl. I stopped here On way from Bangston’s bridge To 5 mile point And sat under their shade Hoping the whispers they might share Would tell me the secret of How your Eyes that now laughed ice Used to look at me with more Fire than freeze, Bending my will like these Osier stems Until in red twigged finger Reach for you I touched the feel Of love Some passing shadow line Now marked when those things changed But no stones set on bank Lead me where to look So I am left in drift Of slender willows sighs And paddle on unanswered |

(sigh) I think that is just a drifters mission statement, you just have to move on or you will lose your wanderlust and may see more than what you bargained for! (big hugggsssssss) Very well depicted, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing! Mayn love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

How is it that everything you write is so fantastic?! You never fail to touch emotions. |

Ron "Drooping fingers to touch the rivers hem As if in idle pass of day they wished To tug on something other than The soil and stone" beautiful imagery and then "Osier stems Until in red twigged finger Reach for you I touched the feel Of love" you bring it to life with an intimate personal touch.. and you do it so well! |

Ron. Me, too, what everyone else said. I loved the: "to touch the river's hem", among other lines.... Wonderful love poetry. Enjoyed. Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

sometimes, it's best to keep moving---wonderful images conjured with your words---enjoyed!! "And it was at that age...Poetry arrived in search of me...And something started in my soul." |
