Gathering Particles

A floating nucleus
of word,
singularly alone, as a
left shoe on a rack of many
for sale,
it’s twin to be found
only if a purchase
is incumbent…

so I floated,
gathering particles of thought
like dust motes,
seen only
(only)
if the soul is seeking…

but I left the day,
quit its storehouse,
my thoughts vacantly bereft,
for I had only gathered
particles,

not worthy of blackest ink
of the weightiest pen.

good one.  most of my musings seem to fit in this category...

but they still often produce a smile, if only to me

you certainly wrote well of gathering particles which.. you say.. unworthy of ink? not when you write them, no, not when you write them.
Enjoyed!

(sigh) Oh Duncan, this is so very touching, sweet friend, I know this feeling ever so well, it is all like pointellism and it takes so long to focus nevertheless so exhausting to try! (big hugggsssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Duncan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I'd like to think I understand these verses.  I don't know what you intended, but they read to me kind of the way I write.
I liked this alot, read it quite a few times trying to figure it out...lol.
