Though we rather not
Tears can be very cleansing
Washing away hurt

When hurt feelings go
Peace brings good feelings to heart
Tears of joy then flow

Tears are cathartic in any form, aren't they?... Well said, Ethel...

GG, Yeah, I couldn't get the thoughts out of my mind, so I wrote it.
Yeah, I've got to go, too. I'm going to visit my parents today. See
you later.....

Ethel,

Yes, it is a familiar theme. Alyssa's being the inspiration, a compliment to her, smiling here

and of "tears", volumes can be written. You wrote of them well.

Liked this...but, must say the only time I've weep tears of joy was when Christ sat with me for three days....that's a kind of weeping, indescribable, a chapter of my life I've been trying decide how to write without divulging too much of self, or, acually others in my life at the time, not that I don't do that often, but, there is a reason for it. Thinking about a piece of prose and this tears poem reminded me of wanting to write of Tears of Joy....and that experience...Well, at least I have the title started..smiling and enjoy your sensitivity and big heart...

Hugs, Pat

Sweet and simple... Some of those short poems that drive straight to the heart are my favorites. Keep up the good work, Ethel.

(smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, one thing that really saddens me is how so many men are ashamed and are taught when they are young never to cry! And I believe that it is important to show tears so then others can help you grow and become stronger, and I cry a lot but not ashamed of it! (kiss on cheek) This is beautiful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I hope you never have a need for tears to wash away hurt--but alas, I suppose experiencing pain and heartache are all part of the learning experience here on Earth--I just wish a gentle soul such as yours could by-pass those aspects of the learning process!

Poignant write...

Warm hugs,
Linda
