No promise given, no promise made
On the edge of eternity each man has played
Time waits for no one, time not my own
On borrow eternal, existence on loan

Ah, but the wilderness left to explore
Given the chance every reason implore
Time but a mystic time to be seen
Illusions portrayal the richness of dream

No promise given, no promise made
By the light of the moon in ages will fade
Time to go forward, none ever backed
Given the options the deck always stacked

Ah, but the children the sparkling of youth
Once always knowing, once to need proof
Time given crisply time to impart
On borrow eternal, everlasting in heart

No promise given, no promise made
On the edge of forever by the seed it has laid
Time is so precious, time un-denied
In a tick of a moment leaving nothing untried

Wow. That is EXCELLENT! I have not seen a poem flow so well in a LONG time! It was just beautiful how easy it was to read that. And the imagery was stupendous. You definitely deserve congratulations on this one! It's amazing. *bows in homage*

(sigh) Oh Kathleen, this is lovely, sweet friend, time is precious and we must not take it for granted as you are literally not borrowing your share of the bargain! (sad sigh) This is powerful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kathleen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I think everyone has pretty well summed it

quite beautiful.
Seems all have stolen my words.
the innocence and faith of children is amazing isn't it..
and their desire for everything, to learn and understand.
Until love comea dn is lost and we are beaten..
scarred...
thats what this made me think about. Enjoyed.
Always, Alyssa
