Good GOD! I wrote something... something... happy! *blink* Okay. You can shoot me now.

You almost make me think I could write something happy
just for the sake of making you smile.
And wouldn't that be worth my while?

This rainbow-shaded dream I'm in
has confused my black heart into thinking it's whole again.

I should hate this giddy mood
but who can you blame for making you feel good?
After all, we're always seeking love
as much as we claim we're too bruised to feel.
My pounding pulse has broken the seal
and I don't care anymore if it's real.
Just hold me a little more,
and tell me again what you're doing it for.

This is the best way to die,
so I guess we'll be here a while.
I intend to be in your arms that night
and close my eyes on your smile.

Yes, that would be worth my while.
