Hollow Ecstasy She sets upon a pedicel. A let of mind, a codicil An urn filled up with vintage dust Of vacillations of my lust Yet there she stay in glories lie Within my lay of mind and sigh A play within a wastelands beach Forever short and out of reach. A figment of a wishing ID A pageant and forever hid. But ever mixing in my life With haunting play upon her fife It is a part of my entire A living flaming parts desire A part that forms an awesome cold Yet warms my heart that’s growing old It is my wonderment of now. And some would say my holy cow. |

You caught me with your couplet... for I heard Pan begin to play though it's winter, trees would sway and leaves would brush me green again for I thought Pan began to play... he took me to land's end delights and bid me g'day then brought me night, then paths bid me my own way wend, for he took me to my end delights... but lo, I woke, there was no flute, and deep the empty pain, acute, now I shall have my soul to mend, for lo, no Pan, and lo, no flute... |

And some would say my holy cow. ================================== When I read your too cool closing couplet ... I couldnt help but giggle at your "holy cow" Randy, (who was chasing me kittens) ... ran over here and said ... "what did he do now?" When he read your rhymes that made me smile and sigh ... He gave me a high five and said "thats my groovy Sy-guy". *ww* |

'A figment of a wishing ID A pageant and forever hid. But ever mixing in my life With haunting play upon her fife' I'm sure I'm not the first to mention how amazing it is that you are able to write this consistently well, on a daily basis, Sy. |

Mr. Sy, I sure am glad that you're retired so that you can delight us with the daily treat of your poetry. And I love the "holy Cow", too. We surprise even ourselves at times, don't we??? ~Ethel~ |

'Tis a pleasure to read your rhymes. And like your rhythm at these times. They resonate like valued chimes; Their worth is so much....more than dimes.*S* Thanks for your writing, it pleasures many. KJ |

it must be nice to have the time to really give so much of yourself poetically, and it always does shine through your words, many times i feel rushed and thoughts seem scattered, but i just want to release their hold on me at the time, so i go for it, maybe prematurely. your work always does seem polished and finished |

(sigh) Oh Seymour, this is lovely, sweet friend, I think we all need to live through the eerie moments to find strength and then the peppermint will taste fresher than ever and the honey more like maple! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love the way you turn words around and stand them on their heads in this one. You made the reading itself as much a pleasure as the sense of the poem. Good work! |
