Three Crows |

Three crows sat on my roof top waiting for something to eat. I can set my clock to them, 7:30 AM, I leave them a bit of old meat. There is the mascot, carefully watching as the other two take their turns swooping and diving, eating scraps they are due. The old one dives in first, lithly flys away with food in beak, He seems grayer than the others, yet just as smooth and sleek. As the second comes in he bobs and hollers to the other two, Or maybe its his way of telling me, thank you. The mascot is last, after serving his post. He picks up the last of left overs and heads for the coast. I'm probably crazy for caring about these three creatures as I do, But I seek pleasure in knowing they might live another day because I cared for them too. Some will hate crows and say they bring bad luck, but from a friend long ago I have learned Seek solastice and respect in nature, for its beauty has a way of being returned. |

(sigh) Oh June, I love crows, as the Counting Crows song "A Murder Of One" goes: "I dreamt I saw you walking In a hillside in the snow Casting shadows on the winter sky As you stood there, counting crows One for sorrow, two for joy Three for girls and four for boys Five for silver, six for gold Seven for a secret never to be told" (smiles) I love crows so much and believe they have much grace in them, swet friend, this is wonderful, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet June, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Thank you, for a wonderful POV. All nature is interesting, and to watch the crow and appreciate it is a great gift from our Mother Earth. |

I don't think they bring bad luck, they are just louder than I appreciate. |

I thought of myself as crowlike and, I feel better knowing someone cares. I enjoyed how you painted a picture of something somewhat repulsive and made it into something kind. Thank you. etoodog |

Crows seem to be many things to many people. They have figured large over the centuries in many nationalities myths and legends. They are known as to be secretive and clever. As scavengers, they rid nature of dead carcasses that would otherwise infest our air with disease. Are they raucous. Assuredly so. But at least we know they are there! Charming read. Thank you! |
