Too scarred and broken,
My sword is too dull.
I’m simply too weak
To reach for my goal.

I fight pretty well
In the times that I try,
But for now I am broken
And wish I could cry.

The pains overflowing
My mind and heart.
My body is filled,
And it’s falling apart.

But tears will not come,
And I still try to fight.
I’m wanting to give up,
All I know that is right.

Hid it for too long,
And now it won’t come.

Set ready for the battle,
Still dry-eyed,
And numb.
