The pastor said I need closure, need to bury this Love of you and me, and move on with life, say good-bye to the strife, that we weren't meant to be This will be very hard, for my mind will always wonder why, remembering the good never the bad a Love of our kind was allowed to die You see our kind of Love was so very special, often sought and never found, and someday you'll realize this to be true 'twas God that made our Love abound Like the Dancer to the Dance, the singer to the song, the sun to the shine, the music to a melody, that's how much your Love meant to me We sang our song and danced our dance, like no one was watching you and me, I'll always Love you, always forever, for this God meant to be So I'll do this dastardly deed, I'll bury this Love of our kind, I'll say a prayer, and shed a tear, as I see the casket bearing our Love in my mind But this Cheri I hope and pray that you will always know as true as heaven and earth I Love You Cheri with all my heart, and my soul Copyright © 2000 -2001 Dennis Hicks |
