Liked this a great deal. Can apply to platonic relationships/so-called friendships equally as well. I think the second stanza says it all, more or less. Easier said than done, but to let go and let God is the best thing.

I've not been able to do that until I've tried every thing possible within self to right either a romantic relationship  or a friendship. But, sadly there does come a point of acceptance.
That this is not going to work....

They are as they are...and look within myself to see what my part in it might be....unreasonable expectations, etc...if there were....

You capture broken relationships well and the pain and broken heartedness which goes with it....
