Destined Path I have faltered in my footsteps On the brink of self esteem I have quivered on the rocky edge of Truth that was a dream But those who do not recognize My weight in human worth Didn’t know my soul had etched It’s solid place upon this earth They gauged my value by the acts That other men have done They think I have no self respect Until respect is won Abuse has marked my milestones Deceit has rocked my sea I grasp the lifeline of my strength That is my dignity My spirit harbors self respect And there it well survives It’s the life within the living It’s the living of the live It’s the stature of my bearing The direction of my eyes It’s the deepness of the spirit Where inherent beauty lies It’s the purpose in the footstep And the sureness of the hand It’s the strength of my beliefs of which I am in full command It’s the rightness over falsehood It’s the truth that has been paved Through translucence of a parchment Where my birthright was engraved I am heir to freedom’s heritage And see my destiny On the footpath worn by shoes that tread The way in dignity Elizabeth Santos |

Lady S, you are ablaze with enlightened thought this day... surely, your pen is most jealous of your muse... |

![]() (tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Elizabeth, it is so very depressing, it truly is a fallacy to bring down all Muslims when only a few people of that group did terrible acts of violence, as just like every one of us, Muslims are special people and deserve to live and be respected the same way we all are, as I also share a love of their culture! (big hugggsssssss) I send angel hugs out to them all, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Elizabeth, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Well you got me! There is not a graphic anywhere that could bring more light to this poem as it radiates the love shines your little light Elizabeth. This reminds me of, "Let he who has not sinned, cast the first stone" for some reason, and don't ask me why? I feel for the nation, the mothers of those boys that were trained due to culture to kill, and I pay for change. Great poem you made me think and lately I am too busy to do that ![]() |
