Calm before the Storm Surrounds the weary Erodes the hopeful Because it will end Calm before the storm Tells what is to come Ears to the ground Everyone just listen Calm before the storm touchs static shock like cloth rubbed it approachs Tick Tock Calm before the Storm all things must end perhaps the same as before Perhaps a change Calm before the storm Silent and Still The Eye we live in Day after Day Calm before the Storm Can't you feel it In the air, Ground, Sea It courses through me Calm before the storm I long for its end At least it will be the end of my waiting Take a good look at my face |

Visiting the back pages, Poe...thought I'd boost this up for another look-see by others... |

wow I like this poem. It can be so frightening to wait awkwardly knowing something so amazingly horrific will happen, its better just to get it over. Enjoyed. I hope the calm AND storm have passed by now. Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |

the wait is often worse than the storm |
