Your Smile January 12, 2003 Copyright 2003 Doug Pretorius You're smiling again it's good to remember why for all the lessons that can be learned another bleeding hopeless mess lies at your feet and you're smiling once again which can only mean the burn is coming My headache never eases anymore the cancer that is you is biting and feeding off of my dreams it seems nothing will ever please you more then satisfying your frightening needs And we're still here holding on to each other huddled close together in our secrets hiding place where we look to see if we still believe the lies we hold dear and your smiling yet again which must mean another hope has been replaced It's a sadness that doesn't deceive anyone besides the beautiful wasted lives and I can't remember a time you weren't smiling perhaps it's best to simply pretend we've died You're a special kind of monster one that exists in reality only because we submit to fear as the little child begins to come forth conquering your horrible hated grin equally disappears |

Yes, let the little child within come forward with an understanding of what the fear is and it will go away like the bogey man....conquering those demons not always easy, but a must. This is quite deep and I liked it a great deal. Thanks, Pat  ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |
