A Process of Progress

Asking for another chance
doesn't quite do it for me.
Asking for another chance
shows desire but only the
correct actions indicate sincerity.
If you could identify some of the reasons
why I am not happy with our relationship
and if you thought my happiness was important
that would be some progress.
If you cared about the reasons
why I'm unhappy and if you understood
my desire and need for happiness
that would be some progress.
If you could reconsider your
policy of issuing ultimatums
and instead took the time
to consider my thoughts, desires
and feelings that would be
some progress.
Then we could focus our thoughts on
your ability or unability to effect
the necessary changes.
Anything other than this would
be wasting my time more or less
and I will continue to doubt your
sincerity until you embrace a process
of progress.

I like this James. Well thought.
As far as I know there's no such word as "unability", but there is "inability".
Thanks.

James,
Progress to me always seemed a circle.
You always seem to wind up where you started. LOL enjoyed.

James, if not given another chanc, how can a person prove that she/he understands?
Written very well, friend...

thank you Kethry, inked, winston, Seymour, Gary and Noah for responding...
This is written in frustration after many chances...and its always the same...not my job to change anyone...it took her some thirty odd years to get the way she is and I know she won't change overnight...and I'm running out of years hoping for some positive moves...James
