WOLVES There are so many wolves around, And I've certainly met my share. It seems no matter where I turn, there's one waiting there. None of the faces look alike but their motives are all the same. The ones I know don't run in packs, and they all go by different names. They're ready to pounce if I should ever, let my guard down. But I'm aware of what they plan, they love NOT, is what I've found. Some of them disguise themselves. And some just plain don't care. No matter what they appear to be, I'd know them anywhere. You'd think of all the wolves I know, That I would surely find. Just one of them that would have the right thing on their mind. But I suppose a wolf is a wolf, their hearts are as cold as stone. I keep my distance from them, and I travel on alone! . * That which gives light, must endure burning * |

oh, all the terror tales about wolves...I don't know where people get the misunderstanding about wolves...cold-hearted, evil, ruthless, violent, uncaring...and the list goes on ...thankfully real woves are not so... I would walk with a real wolf any day over a man. |

passing shadows I agree with you 100% about wolves!! I love them, but I do fear/dislike the HUMAN wolves!! In fact I have a collection of wolves that I have been adding to for years! Yep!! Give me a wolf over any man any day!! Kitty [This message has been edited by Kitty** (01-11-2003 03:03 PM).] |

Gee....I would like to say....I agree, and it is sad there are so many guys (men/males) that feel the need to see how many notches they can put in their belts... I was too shy to ever try that. Always hated the "NO" word... So... I rarely ever bothered much. But I can assure you that I empathize with you. The pressure certainly has to be great...and can darken an otherwise enjoyable moment.. |

Yes, Kitty the kind of "wolves" you're talking about in the poem are waiting everywhere just to pounce on women....I've met my share in my lifetime. When my husband died, you'd be surprised how many of his "friends" became wolves........or should I say "wanted" to become.....many of them married to "my" friends.... "Love makes the world go around" |
