Dreams (01/09/03) I had a dream last night I was reaching for something no longer there Crying out for something unclear Spending eternity in desperate despair Running through a forest of gnarled branches and thorns My body bleeding and torn Numb to my own wound Focused only on what I need to find to escape my doom Each time I thought I might have found what I seek It escaped in endless retreat Faceless and formless it eluded my sight Prolonging my ever sorrowful plight I awake feeling empty and forsaken My infirm soul shaken The dream is my unconscious plea To find what I cannot see I grieve for wanting the unknown Until it is acknowledged I am woefully alone |

Interesting dream Susan, wanting the unknown. How do you know when you've caught up with it? |

A dream is a wish your heart makes. Without a dream, life is tragically diminished, a parody of itself. Even if the dream never fully materializes, the striving is what matters. Sometimes, the dream is all that remains and is preferable to that which we hold in our hands every day. MoonShadow . |
