I set out to tell you something today
Then all my thoughts got in my way
I want to tell you all that I had on my mind
But that was too much and the words were hard to find

I wanted to say something to let you know I was still here
But then my pen became crippled by fear
My emotions were cluttered as they came into play
There was so much I wanted you to know but still noting to say

I had something I wanted to tell
But all my thoughts and fears cast a powerful spell
The pen was still and the paper blank
Realizing that my hart sank

I wanted to tell you something maybe I just didn’t know how
I wished to be clever but wit left me just now
All this empty effort made me quite blue
But what I wanted to say was that I love you

Well I have not been here in at least two years! I lost access to a computer for time, and I hate to say it but I forgot about this site for awhile. I have recently renewed my interest in writing and reading poetry, and I hope improved. Now that I have found this site again I am happy to know it is still here!

Welcome back....I enjoyed this a lot and yes, it is hard to find a way to say it, and to get tongue-tied when it comes to those three simple words....
