Poets Begone!

poets be gone
i wonder why
some may be eating
or chasing a fly

in someone’s realm
it’s lunch time I know
some may have dinner
some have to go

i’m sitting here
with so much to do
that i hover in quandary
over each shoe

i read a line
and then i read two
i write a line
and wait up for you

such silly endeavor
for spending my time
wishing for fervor
to long for each rhyme

but rime seems to ensue
upon chilly words
this waiting and wanting
is quite for the birds

there’s dishes to wash
and a tree to undress
yet i seem to sit here
and merely digress

lol, glad you wrote this, i find myself sneaking back in here every half hour every day. when i've got two huge assignments to be handed in tomorrow. ha ha. i wont be laughing tomorrow. i think this site implanted some kind of chip in my brain without me knowing it, that makes me hover over these pages like an addict, when i should be concentrating on passing my exams!
ok, i really am going to go and type something towards this incredibly dull essay of mine that looms over me. no , infact, lets swap, i'll do your dishes, you do my work. oh, i'm rambling.
