More Room

Today we have the clouds
that bind this snap of cold
and hold it close to us
to shiver up our bones.

Oh bring us yesterday
its sunny and its rose
to beauty up my verse
and glory up my prose.

I know each bit of glee
along with bits of gloom
give balance to our lives
but for sun I have more room.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

The sunshine came out to-day just for a few minutes. It attempted in vain to melt the cold, cold, snow. Enjoyed your write. Chris
