Faraway Train A faraway train rides on fantasy wheels On fog-laden track, misty distance it steals And echoing whistles are rolling around The head of a dreamer on pillow of down The cloud muffled drone of a jet is unfurled Through invisible space to another man’s world In the billowy haze of a thick moonless night The phantom ship glides on a mystical flight My heart wants to venture through unchanneled space Of speed and dimension to day dreamer’s place The night echoes tunes of a traveling song But the dance of my soul keeps me where I belong Elizabeth Santos |

I seem to be picking up on a lot of escapism themes from various poets...it must have something to do with January! Smiling with you, Lady Santos... |
