We all are candles in the rain,
dodging what would be certain death.
Life is more fragile than you know.
What words would you speak on last breath?

My candle’s lit, but for how long?
Last year the fire almost went out.
It made me question who I am
and what life really is about.

I found it is to give of self,
to forgive those who’ve caused you pain,
to hold loved ones much closer now,
for I’m a candle in the rain.

Before a raindrop steals my flame,
I’ll teach of how I’ve learned to cope
and not let fear rob me of peace.
If you still breathe, there’s always hope.

Beautiful dear Michael.
I pray it is a very very long time before your candle goes out.

Michael - hello my friend. This poem as usual comes from your heart. A heart which will keep your candle's flame bright even in a downpour. Lovely. Chris

As long as there is breath...there is hope, and in the greater, as long as there is air, there is breath.

Peace to you poet. Enjoy the graceful truths you tell so well. ThisDiamond

Michael,  strange how it takes something
serious to sometimes make us stop and smell
the roses,  to cherish all that we have..

Yes, continue to share that emotion...For we
all need that gentle reminder...before a
sudden jolt really jogs us...

To think that in those labored final breaths
some think that it a weakness to give breadth
to feelings of humanities when death
would seek to draw kind attitudes to depths.
Enjoyed.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Michael, this is so very touching, sweet friend, I am still breathing and will still breathe, though my flame feels so inferior right now and far from immaculate! (sad sigh) My heart goes out to you as I know you can let the flame shine, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Michael, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
