Woven With The Same Thread

In faith I don’t know where I’d be
If you hadn’t found your way to me
The paths I walked seemed too drear
Night was clouded by unknown fear
But you came bringing light to me
The puzzle of life unravelled magically
Truth bathed my soul and I knew
That I would be fine because of you

In truth I can’t tell how or why
But I do know you decorate my sky
When my feet seem to lose the way
You guide me towards another day
The strength you give guides me
Through the tangle that life can be
And when tears seem to over-spill
You center me and hold me still

In fact I couldn’t see which way
Was the path to a brighter day
The signs I’d read seemed out of line
I was unsure why and out of time
But just your touch steadies me
Stops me getting lost constantly
You set me free and let me soar
Then you bring me home once more

My soul is woven with your same thread
And your thoughts float within my head

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire
