A Moment's Rest

Reached for it, a moment's rest
needed by the sense of me.
A tear, one-eyed, slipped down face
as always, after loss of grace.

Reached for it, relaxed my wile,
remembered gift of Trader Joe's.
Fed my soul with pure delight
chocolate, almonds, mine tonight.

Shared the moment's rest with me,
to fill that need for sweetened taste.
I left behind, the worry of
recirculating thoughts of love.
