Here and Now

Lay me down low
   to the soft and green grass
And then sing a song
   that will forever last.
Let me hold you
   from your head till your toe
Hold me once more
   and protect from all foes.
Be at my side
   while watching the stars
Share with me your dreams
   even if they seem far.

Let me hear once again
   your gentle voice
   before the winds
   carry it away.

I cannot race the wind
   as much as I want to
   nor chase time back
   only for you.

I cannot freeze this moment
   nor can I be sure
   neither can I tell
   of the future.

Sometimes Love is like awkward poetry, the words may not be just right
but when love comes freely from the heart the message sings!
