Charting A Course I'm not the master of my craft. Although I've trimmed it fore and aft, I've coiled the ropes and tightened sail, But it is all to no avail! I'm at the whim of tide and sea, Not knowing where they carry me. I'm at the wild winds beck and call. A puppet really, for them all. There's little I can do alone. I need the help of One who's known Each step my feet have blindly trod, Upon the pathway to my God! Now since He's always been with me, I'm praying He will keep me free, Of reefs and rocks, of storms and strife And help me chart a course through life! |
