A Welcome to Wings (revised) As my consciousness fades away into the silence time and my thoughts stretch my distance from the daily quest my seeking soul ponders your divine unseen realms aside where incredible lighted wings of peace deliver rest Your souls are pure joy filled gifts of giving light Your voices bestow the holy touch of his guiding will O good patrollers of my shaded restless night I pray you will watch over me and keep me still O divine protectors assigned and posted for the coming shade please find it within your divine hearts to forgive my falling choices I pray that in this humble time of worship I have gave my humble spirit will give cause for your praise and lifting voices My barren heart falls uncovered to your open watching eyes I sense your angelic steps stirring close and standing near Envelop me within those incredible lighted wings of warmth and grant redeeming rest to this dying mind of fear O watchful treasures grace me with your igniting glow Help me release all the chaotic turns I cannot control for I am so beautifully weak inside your shadows as I feel your warm protecting hands upon my soul Timothy Work 2004 I actually wrote this poem last year, and did post it on this forum I believe. I was never really pleased with it, and I have felt my work grow so much in the last year I felt compelled to revise and rewrite it. I hope that is ok? It has never been published except on this site. Maybe someone can enlighten me on the policies and ethics of revision, if there is any. After all, it is my work. In any case, I hope somebody enjoys it. Thank you and God bless - Tim He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Proverbs 28:26 |

"My barren heart falls uncovered to your open watching eyes" i loooove that line.and i loooooooooooooooove this one "for I am so beautifully weak inside your shadows" it is so true how indeed we are beautifully weak in him.cos even though he made us strong and we are not physically weak, yet we are helpless and so little in his presence and in awe! oh my God i could write a poem on that line alone.Great Job!i never saw the old poem but i sure love the revision. Jesus died that you might live...accept that and u shall be saved. |

This is a beautiful prayer of your heart. Humble and trusting is your attitude. I am sure the winged Divine beings have heard! Love, Margherita |

I think it is always okay to post a revised poem, especially after some time has passed. This is uplifting writing. Joyce |

Tim it's fine to revise your work and post it again. It's always okay to improve upon things. This is very tranquil. I love the last stanza. This whole poem reminds me that God told us we have a guardian angel who watches over us and they have the "face" (attenion) of God at any time. Oh yes, we did enjoy it! <*\\\>< |
