For years we used an artificial though it felt quite superficial. Conservation was the reason for the choice of the season. Two years ago perspective changed when questions round that choice did frame. When wondering why would anyone sing Christmas carol "Oh, Tanenbaum," A still small voice whispered: The Tanenbaum young and green died to remind you and me just like the Manger's Gentle Guest. This year, our tree is fresh. Though it hurts and seems cruel to chop down a tree, it's the hurting that reminds what the babe did for me. See? |

Jo, you just so sweetly moved me ... I agree with you. "Oh Tannenbaum" is one of the songs we always sing and I just feel my Mother's voice inside my heart .. If new trees are planted to substitute the ones we use, then the balance can be maintained. I love the fragrance of fresh Christmas trees ... Even though "out of season" this was just a beautiful moment. Thank you. Love, Margherita |
