     My faith had strayed into a dark land
     an empty abyss where I could not feel your guiding hand.
     Total abandon was all I could see
     when I realized the only abandoning was being done by me.
     The light had quit shining in my heart anymore
     there was only fear of what the future held in store.
     Looking inside is often so hard to do
     when having to face fears and feelings so true.
     My faith was not hidden, nor was it lost
     I had tried to bury it all cost.
     The sun shone this morning in my window so bright
     my faith had returned with your guiding light.
     I feel stronger today than I have in weeks
     and strength only returns when inside we do seek.

I know that you can 'read' me
but can you 'hear' "me"?

As your title says is true, for one word that describes God perfectly is Light... I am so blessed to read and to know from personal experience that God still shines today in the hearts and souls of those who find or have found themselves fallen away into darkness.... God truly is a Guiding Light. Such a beautiful testimony of the Grace and Love of our Heavenly Father to restore your Faith in Him. Thank you for sharing. -Bob

The time God seems to leave us for a while are difficult which truly is a good portion of our lives like the seasons of a church calender unfortunately the date of Easter is only once a year like Christmas and we can not stay on the mountain top for we live in the valley but thanks be to God for his gift of prayer and His promise of always listening even though we may not always hear or see an immidiate answer.
