There is a time on this earth
whose visitation is not voluntary
and rarely welcomed;
it is dark and full of dread.
Tears are not numbered for they
are without end.
Troubles go without answer,
marching unceasingly
led by the question
Why?

Lord please hold my baby
please hold my baby
for me, if I know
your arms are around him
I can find some peace in this
mournful place.

Our shield from this evil world,
his task of love had worn him much too
thin. My son we saw your ache
but it was beyond our power
to fill – it is my hope that in a Savior’s love
you found much needed peace.

Too beautiful for this world my son
you now shine far above.
Please tell him my Lord, that its ok to stop
working, its way past time for him to rest.
Please let him know that its ok
to go home when your work is done.
Please let him feel my love as
I send it heavenward and tell him Lord Jesus
I hope to see him soon.

There is a place called heaven
where there is no death, tears
are not numbered for they
are nonexistent.
Troubles are no more as we
leave the darkness for an eternity
in the presence of the Light.

My son you are His precious child
even more so than mine and
I understand His need
to call you home,
to wrap his arms around you
and soothe your ache –
Oh my son, my son, how you
must make
my Jesus
smile.

Having read this before doesn't lessen its power... or its pain. However superb the writing... there are some poems that should never have to be written.

He's being held, my friend... with a hug more precious than even you could give... by One who knows the agony of losing a son.

I just wish I could hold you... I love you, my friend.

(big angel hugs) We all send angel comfort hugs your way, sweet friend, know that your son, your Jesus, is now guiding you from above, as the love of a mother and son never dies as did Mary for her Jesus and you will always be your son's Mary, God Bless You, we are all so sorry for you, we all love you so much!
