Night of Glory I wonder how the shepherds felt When by our Savior's bed they knelt And gazed at Him with awe and joy. The angels told them that this boy Would grow to be the King of all. They didn't know what would befall In future years, but only knew This moment, they must harken to! The glory that surrounded all Who listened to the angel's call, Has not been seen on earth since then. No wonder that these humble men Were overwhelmed and speechless too Before this Holy scene, on view. How hard it must have been to go Back to their flocks. The great star's glow Illuminated hills and they Could very easily find their way. Down through the years, this tale they told, So wonder could again unfold! Noah: Thanks for your comments on this poem. I am looking forward to seeing the move "The Passion" with Mel Gibson. I guess he does a marvelous job of portraying Jesus and it's extememly moving. Betty Lou Hebert |
