Lord, I know I have hurt You, I've hurt the heart
of the only One who loves me unconditionally.
Lord, I know I'm not supposed to be in the dark
I don't know how I got here, please come save me.

I want to rest in Your arms, rest in the peace
that quiets the madness and stills the storms.
That rage without mercy in the depths of me,
I want to shine again, I want to be re-born.

Lord, I know You've watched me, watched me sin
Grieved my selfishness and hated my pride.
Please forgive me Father, I want to live again.
Rinse clean my heart and reopen my eyes!

I'm no longer afraid of the future, even though I cannot see. Because I know now that the best for You, is the very best for me!

Baseball -

I have prayed that prayer so many times in so many different ways. Don't ever feel that you are the only one who has ever been there. I know that sometimes I am harder on myself than God wants me to be. I enjoyed your poem because it helps me know that I too am not alone.
