A Seeker's Prayer This night I sit in questioning of answers offered long ago to little girl in innocent naive belief of grown up know Tonight I ask direction for the woman she has come to be - for guidance in her journeying in quest for truth and clarity The rules of past no more suffice - the judgments of a narrow mind Tonight I question right and wrong when 'all paths lead to God' in kind If God is love and love we God then how may some sit higher than If we be brothers, sisters all then where does hatred fit the plan Tonight, I ask the God that is to speak to me that I may hear I humbly wait in listening Console me...let me know You're near ~Vicky L. Raynes *Thank you to Karen for the inspiration for this one. Love you much, lady... When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace. -Jimi Hendrix [This message has been edited by vlraynes (10-01-2003 02:12 AM).] |

Well Vicky I loved the questions you are posing in this one, but by your own hand you say God is love, so there is no hatred in his plan, so I would say that you are perhaps talking to the wrong person about where this fits in as something tells me you have to go a lot further south for this answer. Thoroughly enjoyed this poem and it does make me think about my youth, and the woman I have become as well, for I too have many questions unanswered. Enjoyed this one a lot, can you tell? |

I think you have gone to the right Source. We humans make mistakes but God has the answers if we turn to him. Very good poetry. Love, Joyce |

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I believe none of us have the perfect answer but I truly believe if we turn to Him, He will grant us with what we need to know and He truly is love and is doing what is best for us all! (sigh) You continue to grow with your golden heart, sweet friend, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Vicky, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton I don't need no proof when it comes to God and truth |

Vicky in His own time you will get His answers. And it is my experience that He always gives us what we need, and not necessarily what we want. I hope you hear his answers to you. Listen very quietly. Huggles, Marti |

Wow, that is so magical! I agree entirely. There are so many questions...but where would we be with answers? Life is about living these questions, and wondering why. Your poem is beautifully written. Very inspiring. Thank you so much! |

Vicky...Enjoyed. Many questions posed as we all look for answers. His master plan will be exposed in time But for now there is no reason or rhyme Paul "To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you" |

"Console me...let me know You're near" *sigh* Don't I know this particular plea. Life isn't really all that bad... just don't take it too seriously |

Vicky: I hope you find the answers you are seeking. This is a very thoughtful and soul-seeking poem. Well done and I can certainly relate to it. Betty Lou Hebert |

Very beautiful prayer. We are here in Earth School to grow out of hatred, to become truly aware of the power of love, I think. God's answers unfold within if we can truly make silence ... but it is in our human nature to ask these questions again and again. We need to be reassured. Love and Light. Margherita |
