Sitting in My Pew

(A/N: This is about someone I care about who doesn't return my affection. My whole story is depicted in my work To My Lili Marlene in the Corner Pub #2 section. To clarify any confusion, the person I write about is a young woman I've cared for since last September.)

Where are you right now?
At Mass with me, sitting in my pew.
You've been my friend through high and low.
It always stirs my heart to see you in my pew.

Nine o'clock Mass, something I anticipate.
Something in which I participate.
God truly blessed me to know someone like you.
A friendship I treasure through and through.

But for the past few weeks, you've been missed.
I look for you eagerly, but you aren't there.
I pray to the Lord, hopefully not on backlist.
I hope in some way you still care.

Lord grant me strength, unshared affection.
From this example of nearly divine Perfection.
Grant me the strength to keep my faith.
In this my hour of need, my Lord...

Awww, when I hear things like this I want to squeeze the persons hand and sit there and cry with them, no words spoken. Just hold their hand and be there. Sorry for your pain.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Carl, I echo Shara's reply and I would sit beside you and give you a hug and hold your hand if I could, but know He is listening and there are those with Him who'd be happy to comfort you as He has a plan and someone very special will be there for you should he never return your affection! (wipes tears) I send angel hugs your way, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Carl, thank you for sharing!
