My Jesus... I sketch you in my mind up there on that cross a mixture of sorrow and joy floods my mind each time I redraw you in my thoughts a somber sky hung overhead like an ill-fated omen just as you hung on the cross a bitter-sweet promise colored crimson by the blood the same blood which blots out my transgressions, covered you lightning split the grey canvas of the skies and the world paused as you, my Jesus, My saviour, My Lord looked up to the heavens and said, "It is finished" then in tragic majesty your head slumped down to rest upon his chest. I relive this moment a thousands times in my mind because I can not forget what you have done for me, without it, I am nothing, I am dead, I am ignorant My Jesus, I sketch you in my mind because I need you more than ever before. |

There is nothing more loving than laying your life down for a brother...I could almost hear these words from this write...Beautiful. I am the same. It's as if he is on my mind all the time. I can relate. It's not a conscious effort..it's just like a lingering presence I think. Thanks for the reminder though. This was heartbreaking, and it does that to me everytime I think of the horrible things that were done to him, but he willfully died for us all. Just amazes me!!!!  (big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I too always re-enact that scene in my mind and though I cry each time of the pain and suffering He never deserved, I also thank Him with all my heart and take to heart knowing He lives on in all our blood!
