The Chosen Few So many people wander through Each century and just a few Are given talents that are rare. A special gift for them to share With those of us who have no knack For pleasing crowds, but if we lack Abilities beyond the norm And beauty in our face and form, We still can show the chosen few, How much we like the things they do. If there was no one to applaud The expertise bestowed by God, Would dancers dance with such finesse? Would athletes vie a little less? Would artists paint as many scenes And writers muse on what life means? Appreciation feeds the flame That makes a person strive for fame! The praise we lay before their feet, All helps to make their lives complete. Each generation craves to see The idols that they cannot be. The chosen ones enjoy their place, Providing culture for our race But do they thank Him every day For special gifts He sent their way? I started to almost copy the entire poem as it was all excellent but these lines stuck out at me as the most important: Appreciation feeds the flame That makes a person strive for fame! The praise we lay before their feet, All helps to make their lives complete. And good question, I wonder if they do too |

This is so sweet, because it shows appreciation for the gifts we all have in some way, or another. We are all blessed with something that is special to us we just have to find out what it is. This looks in the depths of us all. Thanks for sharing, and reminding me we all have something to bring to every situation that's exclusive to us, and our talents. Bless ya bunches. Hugs, SharaRose @-->-- Of sound, and speech let all lift the hearer! |

Mysteria: Thank you so much for your kind remarks on this poem. I'm glad to hear that you found it interesting. I often wonder what kind of a relationship famous people have with God, or if they have any? It would seem that those who are truly gifted in any way, would want Him to be a major part of their lives. Love Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |

(sigh) Oh Betty, I have the most respect always for celebrities who show respect and love to their fans and do all they do with Him by their sides, sweet friend, those will always be my favorite stars: ones like Shakira, Bono of U2, Mike Myers, who have such a true genuinity to their loved ones and God! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is wonderful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Betty, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton I don't need no proof when it comes to God and truth |
