To G-d You breath, and the leaves dance. You walk, and the thunder rolls. You speak, and the lightening answers. You touched me, and my heart was yours. DeaDiAmore I'm sorry but I didnt write this ...I should have said...this is the prayer we use for Sabbath. I'm sorry for any misunderstanding. http://www.jewfaq.org/prayer/shabbat.htm Sabbath Lighting Candles Barukh atah Adonai, Elohaynu, melekh ha-olam, Blessed are You, Lord, our G-d, King of the Universe, asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav, v’tzivanu who sanctifies us with his commandments, and commands us l’had’lik neir shel shabbat (Amein) to light the candles of Shabbat (Amen) [This message has been edited by WhileIWasGone (11-04-2002 11:59 AM).] |

A beautiful testimony and reverence in a most joyful mood of celebration to our Creator and Deliverer. May your feasts of Sabbath begin and may your inner joy and rest be full my poetic friend!! I loved both of your poems and I especially enjoyed reading the English interpretation of the Hebrew in your poem "Sabbath Lighting Candles." Again, thank you for visiting and for sharing a bit of your faith here with us. -Bob |
