Daily I sell my soul I give in to the temptations I spit in your face And I curse at you I kill you over and over again Driving that spear ever deeper into your side It is then, that I ask Why do you love me Why do you care Why don’t you abandon me Why don’t you hate me Why do you always pick me up again Why are you still there Why do you let me count on you When you cannot count on me Why did you die for me, When you knew I’d be this way And why do you continue to love me Even when I’m a million miles away from my own heart and soul Even when I’m out of my mind in sin Why do you give me a reason to live, When I should end it all But soft, what light through yonder window break. It is the east, and Juliet is the sun... |

Thank God for His everlasting grace! “We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we can find in our travels is an honest friend.” –Robert Louis Stevenson |

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Leslie, it is so sad but true, sweet friend, I could never give as much love as Him and though I believe in Him and follow His examples I know we can NEVER thank Him enough for all He has sacrificed and endured for our sake, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Leslie, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton Underneath your clothes, there's an endless story |

God's grace is an amazing thing, overcoming what we or laws cannot overcome. The law condemns my behavior as sinful but provides no power to help me stop. On the other hand, the grace of God actually releases us from the trap of the devil, redeems us from slavery to the devil, and rescues us from the kingdom of the devil. "To run and work the law commands, but gives us neither feet nor hands. But better news the gospel brings, it bids us fly and gives us wings." (origin unknown). I wonder if you are familiar with the strangle-knot. It is an excellent knot to be used as a running-knot for a snare because the more force that is applied from inside the loop the more firmly the running-knot prevents opening of the loop. In short, the harder you pull against the knot the tighter the knot becomes! The only way to break free of this snare is by cutting the rope with a knife. All of our own efforts to break free from sin only serve to increase it's death-grip on us. The truth is that it is the grace of God alone that can break our bondage and free us from certain death. God's grace is like the knife that can free from the strangle-knot. In John 8:11 to the woman at the well Jesus said; "Neither do I condemn you..." This is pure grace. The law required punishment and death of the woman caught in the act of adultery, Jesus forgave her and gave her life. The woman did not make any excuses (v. 11). She was guilty. She knew it. She stood condemned. She didn't have to be convinced of that fact. She needed grace. She did not deserve it. "The wages of sin is death." "The soul that sins will surely die." She couldn't earn it. She was a spiritual pauper in the need of the riches of God's marvelous grace. Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go your way; from now on sin no more" (v. 11). Let those words soak in. "Neither do I..." "Neither do I condemn you." How could Jesus offer such a sinner no condemnation? He did it the same way He does to us. He knew that He was going to the cross to die for her sins. "For while we were still helpless" sinners. That is the way all sinners are. Helpless. A helpless sinner doesn't merit forgiveness. A helpless sinner doesn't earn forgiveness. "For while we were still helpless [sinners], at the right time Christ died for the ungodly" (Romans 5:6). Moreover, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (v. 8). But Jesus' statement of grace is immediately followed up by an admonition to "go and sin no more." Theologians have made terms that describe what Jesus did here: Justification and Sanctification. Justification is: "Neither do I condemn you." Sanctification is: "Go and sin no more." And it is critical to see the order of Jesus' statements, for He did not say, "Go and sin no more, neither do I condemn you." "Clean up your act and then I will forgive you." Jesus Christ here uses grace as the motive for pure living Just a little preaching for you inspired by your 'Why' ~ a question often asked and sadly not often asnwered to our satisfaction. *special thanks to Setting Captives Free ( http://www.settingcaptivesfree.com/home/ ) for their information on grace... SCREAMIN, Of course the rhetorical question is answered by, "Because I love you." Love, LayItDown |

That is what unconditional love is. Now that He has given it to you, my friend, it is your turn to give it to others as best as you can! Oh, make me Thine forever |
