I listened to myself today, Can’t say I was impressed. I spoke up when not even asked to, Overanalyzing tidbits of conversation, And laying down my own glorious opinion. I am ashamed of myself. “Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to wrath” Were once held tight around my heart. Not sure when that changed. Indeed, there was a need for something to be said, I just feel a little more tact could have been used on my part. One doesn't have be offensive to express a differing opinion, I felt I crossed that line. |
