You taught me about faith for 23 years.
Your body became a shell as you got your wings that tragic night in June.
Then once I saw you your body lifeless on that table.
I tried to be strong like you raised me.
but I just lost my best friend and Daddy.
The bridge you helped me create stood strong
my faith begain to break.

We read your grandson stories of jesus then as we do now.
He knows him as a confidant just as you tought me.
we know you're up there watching
and want to make you proud.
I can see your smile I tell him
because I know you would be smiling
if your feet were on the ground.
Years passed as I headed down a path where faith did not lead.
Lost the love of my life by making him leave
Then the loss of a beautiful young lady.
An Aunt, sister, Daughter and more. Gone too soon.
My faith was tested and I fell to my knees. Too much for this heart to take. I did what I knew would ease the pain and had a drink.
Overnight in a hospital was enough for me.

The next morning on my knees on the kitchen floor crying. Thanking God I am alive.
It is then I realize this whole time
Jesus had been at my side.

I started slowly picking up the peices that I thought I had destroyed. Reaching out to the ones who stood by my side. It would be an interesting path for the next two years.

Now here I sit happily married to the man I once thought i had to keep away. Our family is flurishing. With faith at the center everyday.

Thank you Jesus for saving myself and Family.
