HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Seeing as, this present year, serves its term,
The season’s showing, that it’s leaving town
Nothing left, for it to mow down or to crown
It’s saying goodbye, its going back home
On its own, the same way, it came alone
Whatever, the weather, it’s homeward bound
Silently, it shall fly; no one shall hear a sound
Wisely, it knows how long, it has to stay
Making space, it’s getting out of the way
Knowing that, the New Year, is coming soon
For many, it’s leaving much gloom and doom
And plenty of work, for the New Year to do
Giving the cooing bird finds, a reason to coo
Much work, it has left, the coming year to do
Everywhere, upon the land, and out in the blue
How much strain, no one is yet with a clue
Even so, good for those who know the truth
Look not, for Him, in the west, east, nor south
Just prepare to welcome, the coming year
In closing, here comes: a happy New Year!
