Weak Lord forgive me for my pain For if my emotions had thier way You would come and take this day How long can I hold the tide Inside the tears intensify Your the only one I give full truth But my prayers wait to hold true sound Until I've fell hard upon the ground If my emotions had thier way You would come and take this day Lord be with me, hold me still For I am weak and collapse away Timothy Work -written this morning He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. "The Lord is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation" "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee" "Lo,I will be with you always, even to the end of the world" I know a lot about what you're going through. I've been there too; in a place where you feel so weak and that sometimes you don't even want to go on. YOu can get through it, just trust in Jesus and He will bring you through. He brought me through and He still helps me every day. The apostle Paul said that God's strength is made perfect in our weakness, so that when we are weak, we are made strong. Thanx guys, I just really needed to vent; poetry has always been there for me when I need a release. I am better now; just got bogged down and had a really bad morning before I wrote this.  (tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Timothy, this is so very heartfelt, sweet friend, my heart sends hugs your way as I know this feeling too but know in Him lies the greatest strength, I am but a witness for I almost ended my life but he saved me and in honor I turn to Him and center around His light! Sorry, I'm a little late getting to read and to reply to your poem, but I am very very glad that you are doing better now and I do agree with you that poetry is a wonderful gift that God has given to us in order at times to vent our feelings and our emotions and this is a remarkable poem of your expressed venting.
